About Dr. Ali Allen Nasseh
Ali Allen Nasseh, DDS., MMSc. Endodontist
Dr. Ali Allen Nasseh is the founder of MicroSurgical Endodontics (MSEndo), and a practicing endodontist in Boston, MA. He is an active member of several organizations including, but not limited to the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS), Massachusetts Association of Endodontists (MAE), and the Boston Metropolitan Dental Society (BMDS).
Dr. Nasseh has been an active faculty and a clinical instructor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterial Sciences / Postdoctoral Endodontic division of Harvard School of Dental Medicine since 1994. He was also an Assistant Professor in the postdoctoral clinic, department of Endodontics at Tufts School of Dental Medicine until 2006.
Dr. Nasseh is a national and international speaker and lectures actively in such areas as surgical and non-surgical root canal therapy, technological advances in endodontics/dentistry, and principals of patient care and anesthesia for a painless dental experience. Dr. Nasseh's practice philsophy is providing the most gentle, caring, and positive root canal experience by offering the highest quality of care using the latest tehcnological advances in the dental field. He believes that root canal therapy should never be a painful experience and lectures extensively on the patients’ right to a gentle, comfortable, and completely painless experience.
Dr. Nasseh's practice, MicroSurgical Endodotics (575 Boylston Street) is also an educational institute where he gives advanced training to dentists across the nation and around the world in root canal therapy and microsurgery. He teaches at the postdoctoral level at Harvard and Tufts Dental Schools and is a former instructor and lecturer in the Head and Neck Anatomy course at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Mario E. Abdennour, D.M.D. ,M.M.Sc
Dr. Abdennour is a graduate of Washington University School
of Dental Medicine where he received the Doctor of Dental
Medicine degree in 1989 with an “outstanding clinical ability”
award. Following his dental degree he attended a post-
graduate general practice residency at a University of
Southern California affiliated hospital in California, graduating in
1990. He practiced dentistry in California for a total of eight
years. In 1997 he entered the Advanced Graduate
Endodontic Program at Harvard University School of Dental
Medicine, receiving his Specialty certificate in Endodontics as
well as a Master in Medical Sciences in Oral Biology.
During his specialty program he also trained in Surgical
Endodontics at the Karl Franz University Hospital in Austria.
Upon graduation from Harvard he was the single recipient of
the Krakow award for clinical proficiency in Endodontics.
Dr. Abdennour also conducted Endodontic research at the
Forsyth Dental institute in Boston which has resulted in a
patent application for an endodontic therapeutic agent.
Dr. Abdennour currently holds a faculty appointment as a
clinical instructor at the Advanced Graduate Endodontic Program
at Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he teaches as a part
time basis surgical and non-surgical Endodontics. He has
lectured Harvard Dental students annually and at a local
component of State Dental Societies in the areas of
Endodontic surgery and non-vital intracoronal bleaching.
Dr Abdennour is a member of the American Association
of Endodontists, the American Dental Association and
the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Following graduation from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago/IL, Dr. Nasseh completed a three year specialty fellowship in Endodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine graduating with a Masters in Medical Sciences (MMSc.) in the area of Bone Physiology. He completed three years of research at Boston’s Children's Hospital Orthopedic Laboratory during 1994-1997. Dr. Nasseh is currently the clinical director to Real World Endo educational seminars, the Endodontic Advisor to The Seattle Study Club (SSC), the president of Harvard Endodontic Alumni Association (HEAA), and the editor of the Harvard Dental School Alumni Bulletin.
Dr. Nasseh has been in clinical practice for over fifteen years and has performed over twelve thousand non-surgical root canals and thousands of surgical root canal procedures. His extensive experience and his friendly, kind, and caring bedside manner has made him very popular with his patients who come in from far away with a very negative impression of root canal therapy and leave with a new understanding of this procedure. Dr. Nasseh’s goal is to debunk the myth of root canal therapy being a painful procedure and create a new understanding for this procedure among his patients and other dentists.
